The Student Council of Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, comprises the Executive Council and the Committee Secretaries.
EXECUTIVE COUNCIL
The Executive Council comprises the President, Vice President, General Secretary, Joint Secretary, Judicial Secretary and Treasurer. The Executive Council serves as a bridge between the college office and the student body, conveying requests between the two. They ensure that students’ academic and extracurricular needs are met expeditiously for the overall development of the college.

STUDENT RESEARCH FORUM

The Student Research Forum (SRF) is a passionate community dedicated to fostering a culture of research and academic bravado. They organize interactive workshops, guidance sessions and facilitate connections between students and faculty mentors. Their flagship fest, Vedam, is a premier academic conference that features research and case presentations, hands-on workshops, and expert-led sessions. They are committed to making research a core part of every student’s journey and aim to build a dynamic research culture that drives innovation, collaboration, and real-world impact.

SPORTS COMMITTEE

The Sports Committee of KMC is dedicated to developing and nurturing a sporting culture in every student. The committee, comprising passionate athletes from various sports, organises and oversees numerous events throughout the academic year. These range from multiple premier leagues for different sports to even fundraising sports fests. Their goal is to highlight the importance of sports and their values in a student’s holistic development.

FINANCE COMMITTEE

The Finance Committee is dedicated to fostering financial literacy and responsibility among students while ensuring the smooth management of finances for various college events. The committee plays a pivotal role in budgeting for major events, securing sponsorships, managing stall revenues, disbursing cash prizes and so on with accuracy. Beyond event management, the committee also serves as a vital link between the student body and the college finance office, promoting clarity and accountability in financial processes. We aim to equip students with essential financial skills that contribute to their holistic development.

CLASS REPRESENTATIVES
The Class Representatives are elected students, two from each batch who help in coordinating and giving information from the college administration and departments to the students. They play an integral part in managing the class schedule, grievance and feedback redressal and are the face of the batch as a whole. They help ensure that every student has a say in how things are run.
