TATTOO MAKING
The Dragon’s Mark was a tattoo-making event held as part of Litcipher 2025, drawing inspiration
from the world of Game of Thrones. The event focused on creativity, interpretation, and
teamwork, with participants designing tattoos based on themes revealed on the spot.
A total of eight teams participated, each consisting of an artist and a muse. Teams were given
one hour to conceptualize and create their designs, using imagination and technical skill to
translate the assigned themes into tattoo art.

DAY 2: 8.10.25
SLAM POETRY
On October 8, 2025, LitCipher kicked off with its first event, Slam Poetry, bringing together around 20 participants from and beyond MAHE. Each poet poured their heart out, exploring themes ranging from the Israel-Palestine conflict to everyday struggles, with performances in both Hindi and English captivating the audience.
Emcees Arnav Yadav and Anupam Raj kept the energy alive with shayaris and poetry throughout the evening, while judges Aniket Vikram Singh, Aseem Anand, and Ojaswita Giri evaluated the performances.

SWITCH UP
The evening saw a splash of colour and creativity, as students gathered on the evening of 8th October for Switch Up, one of the leading art events of Litcipher, the annual Literary Fest organised by the Literary Committee of KMC.
Titled “The Iron Brush,” the event required a team of two participants to work individually on their prompts and switch at 30-minute intervals, with no communication. It was a challenge that compelled the artists to reach into the depths of their creativity.
The halls of Interact were abuzz with excitement as the winners were announced:

DAY 3: 9.10.25
LETTER WRITING
Blood, Ballots and Betrayal- Letter writing was one of the events of Litcipher that tested
participants’ humor and wit. The challenge was to write a letter from one iconic figure to another.
One ‘sender’ and one ‘receiver and scenario’ chit had to be picked. 10 minutes were given for
research on the characters on electronic devices, and 50 minutes to compose the letter. Satire
and Genz slang were encouraged. Submissions were judged on creativity, originality and humor.
The results revealed that Sharanya Anumala came in first place, with Manaswita Mahayana and
Aditya S. tied at second, and Manas Mukhija at third.
All in all, the event elicited a lot of interesting and ingenious responses which were both thought
and laughter-provoking.
DAY 4: 10.10.25
tHEME QUIZ
The Game of Thrones Theme Quiz took place on October 10, 2025. It was conducted as a part of Litcipher, the annual Literary fest organised by KMC’s Literary Committee. Over twenty teams participated in the quiz, with teams from various colleges, including KMC and MIT, as well as NITK, Surathkal.
The quiz started off with a Preliminary round, followed by a rapid-fire round titled Faces of Westeros. Trivia of the Thrones was the third round of the competition, and finally, it came to an end with a session of Pounce and Bounce. The quiz had a lot of twists and turns, and a nail-biting conclusion.

SHIPWRECKED
When you put a bunch of Game of Thrones characters in a sticky situation, which one of them would make it out alive? This is the question the KMC Literary Committee served to answer through their event, Shipwrecked, as part of the Litcipher, their annual literary fest. The event, which was on the 10th October, was a success, with 14 participants. The consensus was that the event was an enjoyable one, with a lot of crazy twists and turns.

EXTEMPORE
The Extempore: Storm of Speeches event was one of the highlights of Litcipher. Following the
theme of fantasy, each speaker was assigned a random topic on the spot, given 1 minute to
prepare, and 2 minutes to speak. A solo event, participants were judged on confidence, voice
projection and clarity, content and message, creativity and originality, and body language and
expression. Requesting to change the topic led to negative marking. Vedika Shukla bagged first
place, Arv Trivedi and Avantika Sanyal tied for second, and Mihir Kamath came third. The event
tested contestants ability to think on their feet and communicate their point of view effectively.
DAY 5: 11.10.25
DIARY WRITING
As a part of Litcipher, the Literary committee organised a diary writing event called Confessions
of the Crown, a Game of Thrones–based creative writing event, which was successfully
conducted on 11th October at 5:30 PM in the Interact Halls. The event brought together
enthusiastic writers for an evening of imagination, introspection, and literary creativity. With
around eight participants, the competition provided an engaging atmosphere that encouraged
thoughtful expression. Each participant was given a carefully curated prompt, requiring them to
step into the shoes of a Game of Thrones character and pen a diary entry from the character’s
point of view.

TURN-COAT
The evening saw a gathering of sharp minds and sharper tongues, as students gathered in the Interact halls for Turncoat, one of the highlights of Litcipher, the annual Literary Fest organised by the Literary Committee of KMC.
Held on 10th October, the event was feisty, loud, and a true proof of the brilliance of every participant. Titled ‘Edicts of the Iron Throne’, it was a debate with twists, with topics ranging from hustle culture to the loss of morality in the face of capitalism. Starting in favour of the motion, the speaker must immediately switch sides on the cue ‘turncoat’, pausing no longer than 3 seconds between each switch. It was an exhilarating display of flickering loyalties and constant excellence.
